What to write about....

Today we have a few choices to write about but none of them are really that good. Hmmmm...... Well I know I will probably fail finals, and I really don't know what life would be like if I was a twin, so I guess that I will talk about the Nuggets. Well I don't watch basketball, and I am not a fan of them. I am glad they one last night though. All of my favorite teams are not from Colorado for any sport so the Nuggets are doing OK. To me they could be better but idk to some people they are doing amazing and I really do not care.

Summer plans

Before too long school will be out and I will be loving the time I get to relax. The day after school gets out I have to get to the airport to fly to my dads. I am super excited. When we (my older brother and me) are there Chlorissa (my step mom) and I will be hosting two birthdays. One for my dad and one for my brother. My brother will be turning 16 so his might be the funnest. I wish I could get to see my sister on her birthday but her mom is strict. Then when I get back my moms side of the family will be coming to visit. That should be fun. While all this is going on I will also have to work. Let me tell you I am jumping for joy.

Exploding Planet

I would have posted this last time but the Internet was having issues so I couldn't. This is my exploding planet it is amazing and has all my favorite colors in it. It was not the hardest or easiest thing to make. This is planet Huroshagga.

A person who inspires me

There are many people I look up to but Martin Luther King Jr is one of my favorite. He has inspired me in many ways. I loved how he fought for African Americans independence. Most of my hero's are African Americans and he inspired me the most because he didn't care how much he was beat or how many times he was put in jail he was not going to stop fighting until blacks got their independence or until he died. I am glad he did this because then today I would not have some of the friends I have because they would have to go to a different school. He has showed me to never stop fighting for what is right.

School

OK for most teens they hate school but for me school is one of my favorite things. I still look forward to summer break but if I don't have a really good book to read I will be ready to be back in school a few weeks later. This year I had a few things I disliked though. I really did not like all the drama that happened between my friends and the dean always riding your back about little things. I also had a few things I loved but I cant narrow it down to just one. I enjoyed making friends with the new students, building rockets in science, this year I was actually able to understand math because of the way the math teacher taught. I also loved how being in 8th grade you get a couple of the high school workers to come and talk to you about high school, I was able to choose my classes and join the color guard. School is fun but only if you let it be.

Cool lines

I made this picture a few weeks ago but figured you might want to see it because it is just that cool. This one is the cool lines.

Photoshop Day

I find photoshop days fun because I can create some wonderful masterpieces. This one is a poster or a flyer which ever one you choose. Today the class was doing smashed photo but since I already did that I chose to do this.

The Day My Space Chimp Was Discovered

It all started in 1989 when I was sitting at home watching “Mork and Mindy” when all of a sudden there was a loud explosion outside. I jumped up from the couch. When I got out to my back yard all I saw was charcoal black smoke and grass flying everywhere. The smell burned my nose and made my eyes water. Before too long everything was back to normal…Well pretty much back to normal there was just a lot of grass missing and a huge spaceship in its place but that’s not unusual. As I turned to go back inside (I was going to call NASA) the shuttle opened! I was preparing myself for what was about to happen when out came a three foot chimpanzee. I started to laugh I thought I was dreaming. I was not when I pinched myself it hurt a lot. I wanted to run away but my feet were pulling me closer to this UCO (Unidentified Crashed Object.) I got to the thing and the Chimp told me his name, “My name is Davis. I come here from Planet Huroshagga. Please do not be afraid.” I stepped back and invited him into my yard. About thee week’s later Davis and I were becoming close friends. Davis learned my name and was now opening up to me and telling me all about him and why he left his home. “I come from a long line of royalty but my mother was not in love with the man her parents set her up with. Where I come from royalty have arranged marriages. When she was out in town she ran into a poor ripped up chimp and fell in love. That ripped up poor chimp is my father. Mom’s parents were so mad that they kicked her out. I was always a curious chimp and so I left late one night and went to find my evil grandparents. When I returned my parents were waiting. I started to tell them what I was doing but they didn’t want to hear it. My dad was really mad at me, and I didn’t know what to do, so I loaded my ship and left.” I was so out of it I didn’t hear the knock at my door. When I finally did I got up and looked through my peephole. I had to find a place to hide Davis because it was the BNASA(Bad NASA.) I took him to my hidden room and locked him up in there. After I made it clear to him that he needed to be quite I went into my room and made it look like I was sleeping. “Hello what can I do for you?” I asked when I answered the door. “Are you Milly?” they asked. I nodded. “We hear you are harboring an illegal alien that could be dangerous. Can we come in and take a look?” When they were searching near the room I became real nervous but did my best not to let it show. When they started to leave Davis came out and started to freak out. They ran toward him but I stopped them. I was sad that I had nothing I could do to save him now, I made him a promise and I will keep it. I told the BNASA that he would be leaving tomorrow to go back to Huroshagga. To this day though he still lives in that little room, and I still live there protecting him and keeping my life long promise.

What you just read was a fictional story.

Cell Phones in Cars

If you took a survey about how many people are against using your phone while driving the number of people against it would be sky high. When you are in a car with your phone in your hand texting or calling you are loosing that hand. Without that hand you don't have it to help control the car. I would ban it because driving and using a phone is not smart. People that use their phone and drive don't use their mind to figure out the risk that they would be running and could kill someone. I think if a person needs to use their phone they could pull over to the side and then use it.

This is a picture I like because it is a V.E. flag.

Slang

Today we have to talk about Slang words. The pros are when you are talking you can shorten the conversation, you may not get in trouble if you say a slang word to a teacher that doesn't know what the meaning. There are cons though. If you say something to one person, you may think they don't know what it means, but they do it could be rude in their eyes. I think people use this language because say they are talking to a person they may dislike using slang can help them finish and move on. I am one who will use slang but not in a rude way. People can just start saying the whole word so no one will find it hurtful.

Earth Day

My family doesn't do much for Earth Day even though we should. One thing we do is we save all our grocery bags and use them over and over until they cant be used any more. We also turn out the lights in a room if we are not in there. During the day we open windows to let the sun light our house. When we brush our teeth we shut off the water, every little bit helps. My family likes to drive to the places we need to go. Since our town is small most of the fun places are out of town and are not easily accessed. My family could start walking or riding our bikes to our destinations. I think we could also take up recycling again. This year my family will start taking care of the earth because it is our home. When I get a car I want it to be a hybrid. That will save a lot of money, trees, gas, and much more. What are you going to do for Earth Day?

My amazing field trip

On Thursday (April 16th) and Friday (April 17th) I went on a field trip with my 8th grade class. I had soooooooo much fun. On Thursday we left school and went to the zoo. We were there for a few hours. It was raining all day and cold but since I dressed OK it wasn't too bad. My favorite part was getting ice cream. Toward the end of our day at the zoo there was like no one there. I really liked the photo scavenger hunt my team did. At about 4 we left and went to the aquarium. After we put our things down we went to the gift shop and then to dinner. They have some amazing food. Then we went back to the room with our things and got ready to go look around. They have this exhibit called Flash Flood and they have water fall down really hard and then it hits the glass and splashes over. My friend and I stood there 27 times. We got drenched but didn't think we were wet enough so we went and put our head in a waterfall thing. After having snack and doing a few activities it was time for bed. We got our things upstairs and set-up. We slept in front of the sharks. Some boys were mad because we got to sleep with the large sharks and they had small sharks. Then we woke up the next day and went to breakfast and that was good. After breakfast was all cleaned up we went and fed the fish and went to watch their tiger Huron. I got some really cool pictures of him on my phone. Since the weather was bad we went back to school. There we did a few things. Then my mom showed up and we went out to my grandma's to clean. After we were done there we went to lunch ad then headed to pick up my friend. Then we went to the mall. When we were done there we took her home and then I went home. The day was so long and I was tired when I got home I fell asleep.

Fire Pictures

I made these pictures because the assignment in class was to make a fire picture. In photo-shop I opened the picture I wanted then I took the lasso tool and made a fire area. Then I went and added clouds. Then I added color in the gradient map. Then I added wind. Then I liquified and saved. Now you get to see my wonderful artwork.

If I had $5000....

I know if I had $5000 I would donate $3000 of it to a local animal shelter. I love animals so I would feel great being able to help them. With the other $2000 I would put it in my bank and save it for college. I want to be an Animal Cop so college is needed. If anything happened between now and college I would have that little bit of extra money to use. That is what I would do with $5000.

Maybe V.E.

As many of you know V.E. is the flag team for the marching band. Last night my older brother came to me and told me the V.E. was begging him to ask me to join them next year. When he asked I said ok I will try. So now I am preparing for the try-out's on Monday, Wendsday, and Thursday. In order to audition you have to have a dance and do a little bit of running. I am excited to maybe be working with my brother.

What I admire most about my parents

My mom will let me do just about anything I want to do. Even though there are things out there I know she would let me do I use my better judgement and I don't. I like that about her because she knows I will do the right thing and so she trusts me. I know she loves me by doing this. She is trying to teach me to trust my decisions. I also like the way she will leave me alone if something is bothering me that I don't want to talk about but that when I do want to talk she will be there. I love the way she is always willing to help with homework and help figure out a way for me to remember how to do it.

My dad is not as flexible as my mom. He trusts me but he wont let me get away with just anything. I like that because then I know he loves me and wants me to be safe. I love when I get to go to work with him because since he lives in Utah I don't get to see him much and so I value the time we get to spend together. I also like when he is at home and he will sit down with my step-mom and I and play games.

My step-mom (Chlorissa) is as close to me as my real mom. I love her just for being there when I feel I have nowhere else to go. I also like that she will help make the arangements for me to go out and visit. Like my dad I like it when she will play games with me. I know she loves me because she will always be there to keep me safe.

My Spring Break

Over spring break I went roller blading with my bff. We bladed for three hours with our other friends who just happend to show up. After that we went back to my house and stayed up all night with my older brother. I also had to work. The rest of my spring break I was stuck babysiting my little brother, cousins, and I had to do homework.
